Here it is.... my first piece for symphony orchestra
I wrote for the symphony…. A dream come true….
Writing music is something that is a continuously growing part of my musicianship. In the beginning I simply found it interesting to create music of my own, and the romantic idea of calling myself a composer was very appealing to me…..
I dont know if it was stupidity, ignorance or plain luck that gave me the courage to embark on this journey before I was fully ready. I didnt know any composition techniques when I wrote music for my first album, and I had very little experience…… But I learned a very valuable lesson…. You have to start. You have to begin the journey, and you will probably never feel ready for it.
And so I did…. I put out my first album 12 years ago… and since then I´ve released 5 albums of my own, and now I´m getting more and more opportunities to write for established ensembles…
Last year I got a phone call, to get to write for the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra…. I couldn’t believe it. You can read more about that here: LINK
