“In pursuit of a new sound….”

For more than two decades, I have been a curious traveler on the international jazz scene. As a bassist and composer, I have toured across Europe, Asia, and North America, and my music has been performed by ensembles from Tokyo to Los Angeles. Along the way, I have met musicians from many different cultures—encounters that today are an integral part of my sound.

With my new quintet, I have chosen to turn my focus homeward. Here in Northern Jutland, I have gathered four musical friends who share my vision of creating music where the local and the global merge. The result is an adventurous jazz—full of melodic strength, improvisational freedom, and rhythmic energy.

The quintet works exclusively with my original compositions. The music is at once lyrical and playful, challenging and inviting, guiding the audience through both intimate moods and explosive climaxes.

The quintet features 🎷 Oleksandr Kolosii on saxophone, 🎸 Lucas Illanes on guitar, 🎹 Peter Pham on piano and synth, 🥁 Matias Fischer on drums, and myself, 🎶 Kenneth Dahl Knudsen, on bass.
